Welcome to the Champion Forest Women's Club

The Champion Forest Women’s Club is a neighborhood social and service organization. The mission of CFWC is to bring the women of Champion Forest closer together through a wide variety of community activities. The CFWC fulfills this goal by:

Meetings are held on a regular basis in homes and local venues.  Members are diverse in many ways (young and old, working and stay-at-home, long-time residents and new neighbors, etc.).  But members have a strong common thread.  They care about Champion Forest and making it a great place to live!

December Luncheon Call to Action!

Women of Champion Forest,

We hope you're having a wonderful summer.   Thanks to each of you that participated in one or more of the spring events organized by the Champion Forest Women's Club.  Each was a big success in bringing neighborhood women together for fun and philanthropy.

As you know our main fundraiser each year is the December Luncheon.  In recent years the Luncheon has raised over $10K for local educational and community causes.  It attracts over 200 ladies from the neighborhood who enjoy a holiday celebration while raising much needed funds for our designated charity.  This year's charity is 'WINGS',   Women Involved in Nurturing, Giving, Sharing The mission of WINGS is to provide comprehensive breast health care services to women in Central and South Texas regardless of their ability to pay. This includes funding for breast health care services, including physicians' fees, outpatient medication and hospital charges.  It is designed to fund treatment of women whose mammograms indicate anomalies.

Our 2008 Auction Chair, Susan Barris, already has planning underway and we're currently seeking donations for auction items.  Please check your gift closets or consider donating something special you see while shopping this summer.  Or you may be thinking of a friend, neighbor, colleague or contact who may be willing to contribute something terrific so please let Susan know.  Susan will take donations at any time. (drsbarris@hotmail.com).

We're also looking for volunteers to help with the luncheon/auction.  In addition to securing all of the donations, there are many other aspects of work including decorations, entertainment, programs, name tags and more.  Being on the team is a wonderful way to support the Champion Forest community and have a lot of fun with your friends and neighbors while doing it!

Take Care,

The Champion Forest Women's Club
