The Champion Forest Garden Club:
A neighborhood special interest organization that was chartered in 1978.
The mission of the organization is to stimulate knowledge and love of gardening, floral design, encourage civic beautification, and to promote the conservation of our surrounding natural resources. In 1980 a Garden Club member was instrumental in having Champion Forest declared a bird sanctuary.
The CFGC fulfills the mission by hosting monthly meetings, periodic field trips throughout the year, along with various community projects such as the Arbor Day celebration, Annual Nut Sale, Blue Bird Houses in the PUD Park. They Award Garden of the Month and do the Community Christmas Decoration placement.
