The Champion Forest Garden Club
Champion Forest Garden Club (CFGC) is a neighborhood special interest organization that was chartered in 1978.
The mission of the organization is to stimulate knowledge and love of gardening, floral design, encourage civic beautification, to promote the conservation of our surrounding natural resources and foster a close community spirit. In 1980 the Garden Club was instrumental in having Champion Forest declared a bird sanctuary.
The CFGC fulfills the mission by hosting monthly meetings, periodic field trips throughout the year, along with various community projects such as the Arbor Day celebration.
Meetings are held monthly at a member’s home. Board members are elected annually.

Champion Forest in Bloom
Champion Forest in Bloom is a very important part of our active Garden Club. The program was established as part of an endeavor to give residents and friends an opportunity to beautify Champion Forest by donating a tree or garden. Many of our trees have been donated in memory of a loved one or to celebrate a special occasion. During the past few years, we have worked on entry gardens, esplanades and tree planting at the park. Our Arbor Day ceremony in January is often a dedication celebration.
If you would like to donate a tree to Champion Forest in Bloom, please contact Barb Smith – 281-513-3673 to discuss all the possibilities. You can pick the tree you want to donate and we will plant it for you. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to be part of the community spirit that makes Champion Forest a wonderful place to live. We look forward to working with you.
